Oh Baby!

Newest family memberSuzie has certainly been busy! The newest addition to her family, baby boy Rhett Michael Cote, was born on June 22 weighing 7 pounds 11 ounces and 21 inches long. The family is doing great and big sister Carly has been a wonderful help and loves having a baby brother.

Suzie will be back to work around the first of September. In the meantime, we’ll be happy to recommend another of our talented stylists to help you get by until Suzie is back. Give our Customer Service team a call at 316-267-8000 for suggestions.

Congratulations Hannah!

HannahCongratulations to Hannah,
our new Education Director!

With a passion for learning, Hannah has pursued lots of advanced training in hair services, especially in hair color. She has studied under an American Board Certified Colorist and other advanced academies to stay up to date on what’s happening in hair. In her new position, Hannah will coordinate education from Aveda, other companies and our talented team, as well as help teach classes herself.

Hannah says, “To be successful in this industry, stylists have to constantly work to educate themselves on trends and techniques. I’m excited to share my passion with the rest of our team.”

Mel and Hannah are going to Aveda Institute New York in September to learn the newest color and cutting trends to come back and teach our staff. We can’t wait to see what they learn.

Our training program gives up and coming stylists a chance to master the skills we require of our stylists to give you great services.

CyborgKlayKlay stopped by to see us recently, so we got an update and a picture to show you how she’s doing from her accident.

Klay says, “Hey Everyone! Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers. I’m doing physical therapy now and am taking one day at a time. The physical therapist says I’m further ahead than they thought I’d be by this time. I miss seeing everyone at Planet Hair and can’t wait to be back!”

We’re glad to see her in such good spirits and making good progress. Her goal is to be back to work by September 1 and we’re excited to have her back as soon as she’s ready. In the meantime, we’re happy to recommend someone else to help you while she’s gone. Give us a call at 316-267-8000.

Klay’s a Survivor!

We’re happy to report that Klay is going to be fine. But by the looks of her poor car, it’s a wonder that’s she’s still with us!

Klay was driving to Hutchinson to visit her family when she got in a car accident.  Amazingly she mostly had bumps, bruises and cuts. Her worst injury was to her right hand, but she was rushed into surgery immediately after her accident and they were able to patch her up. Klay is on the mend, but it will be awhile before she can do hair again. We’ll keep you up to date with her progress!

In the meantime, we realize you’ll need to get your hair done. We’re in touch with Klay and have your color formula on file. Please give us a call at 316-267-8000 and we’ll be happy to make a recommendation for you until Klay can come back!

Introducing Jamie Gray!

JamieGreuyMeet our newest team member – Jamie Gray! We’re thrilled to welcome this multi-talented young lady to our styling staff.

Jamie loves helping everyone look and feel beautiful from head to toe.  She’s an excellent hair stylist, and specializes in customized hair color to bring out our guests’ best style. Jamie also gives fantastic, relaxing manicures and pedicures. She’s introducing the new shellac nail service to our menu, a long lasting nail polish service that adds durability and shine to natural nails.

“It’s always been my dream to work at Planet Hair,” says Jamie. “I’m really excited to start my new journey here and am looking forward to getting to know everyone.”

Klaiborne has advanced in our training program and is ready to be part of the next generation of rising stars at Planet Hair.  She’s taking appointments on Thursdays from 2pm until 8pm and on Saturdays from 11am until 6pm. Klay is fantastic with haircuts, especially men’s cuts, and she loves doing perms. We love her fun personality and ability to make everyone she comes in contact with feel great.

New Online Concierge Service

If you’ve been in lately, you’ve probably noticed that we’ve started doing some things a little differently. We’ve started using an online concierge service to streamline our communications and make it easier for you to get in touch with us, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Through our new service we’ll be able to:

  • Get appointment reminders. Now you can confirm your appointment through email or text message, whichever you prefer. We’ll send you a message a couple days in advance with the specifics of your appointment. All you need to do is look over the message and respond to let us know “all systems are go” for your Planet Hair appointment reservation.
  • Submit appointment requests. Doesn’t it seem like it’s the middle of the night by the time you remember to call us for an appointment? Now you don’t have to wait until we reopen to request an appointment. Just go to our website or Facebook page and request an appointment. We’ll get back to you as soon as we can with available times.
  • Write online reviews. Share the love and let the world know how much you enjoy your experience at Planet Hair!
  • Rate your service. After each appointment you’ll receive an email, asking you to provide feedback about your service with us. We love to hear ways we can make your service better.
